Threshold:

Access & Identity

Threshold is a visual exploration centred on the symbolism of access and personal boundary. Using the key as a primary motif, the project examines how ordinary objects operate as markers of ownership, privacy, and transition.

Developed through an iterative printmaking process, the series establishes a bold, repeatable visual language grounded in silhouette, layering, and structural contrast. By isolating and enlarging the key form, the work reframes it as both architectural device and psychological symbol, a point of entry that simultaneously invites and restricts.

Designed as a scalable visual exploration, Threshold lends itself to exhibition environments and identity-driven contexts where themes of entry, ownership, and belonging are foregrounded.
